Blaine Mersereau

Blaine Mersereau is a geologist by training but has spent the last 25 years developing energy infrastructure projects, including power generation facilities, power transmission lines, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects in western Canada.

For the past 15 years, Blaine has focused his career on LNG development and currently serves as President and CEO of Wapusk LNG. Alongside his role at Wapusk LNG, he is also an advisor to NeeStaNan, a 100% Indigenous effort led by Fox Lake Cree Nation that is undertaking the development of a utility corridor across the three Prairie provinces and a multifunctional port near Port Nelson on the shores of Hudson Bay.

Blaine holds a B.Sc. (Honours) from Queen’s University and an MBA from Dalhousie University. He resides in Calgary, Alberta, with his wife, Pierrette.
