On September 22 at 1pm ET Energy for A Secure Future will be hosting a webinar exploring the findings of our latest report When Our Nation Builds and what they mean for Canada’s energy and infrastructure future.
When Our Nation Builds examines the economic, social and local community benefits of major B.C. energy projects, including LNG Canada Phase I and the Coastal GasLink pipeline, while highlighting the potential of future projects including Cedar LNG, LNG Canada Phase II and Ksi Lisims LNG. The report also includes an analysis of the benefits of Canada’s upstream natural gas production – the foundation of the LNG story. At its core, the report makes the case that Canada’s LNG sector is being built in a way that has been positively transformative for Indigenous nations, communities, workers, small businesses, and governments, and the benefits are measurable, durable and broadly shared.
Given the ongoing conflict in the Strait of Hormuz and the growing interest among Canada’s international allies in finding new and reliable energy partners, Canada is well positioned to play a leading role in global energy security. To seize this opportunity, we must continue creating the conditions needed to attract investment and build the trade infrastructure required to bring Canadian energy to global markets.
