Shannon Joseph, Chair of Energy for a Secure Future explores Canada's LNG potential at the Global Energy Show panel

Shannon Joseph, Chair of Energy for a Secure Future (ESF),  took part in a panel at the 2023 Global Energy Show. She spoke to the important lessons Canada should draw from the 2022 energy crisis and ongoing challenges facing countries seeking to lower emissions and meet energy needs. She emphasized the important values that need to inform energy policies going forward: affordability, reliability, environment, and geopolitical coherence. Shannon also highlighted the significant leadership of Indigenous peoples in Canada’s emerging liquified natural gas (LNG) industry, fostering reconciliation domestically and positioning Canada to deliver a major energy and emissions solution globally.
